Extra teams finish well in U10/12 Extra Tournament
The
U10 Boys Extra Team based in Millbrae won the Extra Tournament Dec 17 & 18. Coached
by Hannah Johnson and Sergio Mendoza, this team of Millbrae and Daly City players won first place in the Extra Tournament
in Redwood City this weekend after placing second during the Extra League regular season.
The team worked hard together all season playing their Extra games on Sunday on top of regular season Saturday games.
Way to go boys, Area 2B is proud of you!!!!
The U12 Boys Extra Team from San Bruno
also won the Extra Tournament this weekend (See celebration of winning Kick from the Mark) . Coached by Brian Campbell and Alex Marroquin with Team Manager Alfonso Esqueda the boys practiced hard to prepare themselves
for a terrific Burlingame team.
Area Teams finish well in Sectional Tournament
San Bruno U14 Girls Team, Las Gigantes (Coaches James Estelita & Brian Hafter) won the Section Tournament Dec 11th against Davis (3-1)
and will be going to the California Cup in Cathedral City (Palm Springs) March 17-18.
San Bruno U12 Boys Team, the Strikers (Coaches Brian Campbell/Alex
Marroquin) won second place.

Congratulations to the Millbrae U16 Boys Team for winning the Area B&N
League Championship and Playoff Tournament.
Coached
by John Kenny, with Paul Axiaq, assistant
coach, they finished the season with a 2-0 win in the Final match.
The team compiled a 6-1 season record and 42-14 scoring margin with 11 of the 14 players able
to score at least one goal and without
any dsciplinary cards presented. Truly a sporting team!
Millbrae U 19 Girls win Area B&N League Championship and Playoff Tournament 2nd year in a row!
Congratulations to Millbrae
U19 Girls, who completed back-to-back undefeated seasons by winning both the Area 2B/2N
End of Season tournament and the Area 2B/2N League championship for the second year in a roll.
Coached by Jim Paplos and Steve Chinn, the team's success was attributed to stingy
defense and relentless attacks on goal. There's already expectations for next year's team, since
only two of the active players are seniors, with the rest juniors.
